OUR MATERIALS, CERTIFICATIONS & PRACTICES

Here we explain the materials we work with, the certifications that apply to some of our products and the specific actions we take in our day-to-day operations.

Certifications apply only to the products and references that carry them. Each product page shows its exact composition and, where applicable, its certification.

GOTS — GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD

GOTS is a certification that sets environmental and social requirements for the different stages of production of certified textiles, from fibre to finished product.

At SUITE13LAB we use GOTS-certified products when the corresponding reference is within the scope of our certification. GOTS products are individually identified with the corresponding certification information.

GRS — GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARD

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) sets requirements for the use of recycled materials and includes criteria related to traceability, production processes and social, environmental and chemical aspects within the certified chain. When a garment uses GRS-certified material, we show this on the corresponding product page.

RWS — RESPONSIBLE WOOL STANDARD

The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) sets criteria for animal welfare and the management of wool farms within the certified chain. When we use RWS-certified wool, we show this on the corresponding product page.

TENCEL™

TENCEL™ fibres by Lenzing are produced from wood cellulose using specific manufacturing processes developed by Lenzing. Our product pages identify the garments that contain TENCEL™ fibres.

CUPRO

Cupro is a regenerated cellulose fibre with a soft touch and a fluid drape. Our product pages show the exact composition of every garment that contains cupro.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ is a viscose fibre by Lenzing, produced from wood from certified or controlled sources in accordance with the requirements applicable to the product. LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres are identified with the Lenzing brand and meet the specific requirements set by the manufacturer.

OUR PRACTICES

Our work is not limited to the choice of fabrics. We also pay attention to our packaging, energy, furniture and day-to-day operations, looking for alternatives and solutions that reduce the impact associated with our activity.

These are some of the specific choices we have made:

We seal our shipments with Rajapack paper tape, which can be recycled together with paper and cardboard.

To keep your garment protected during shipping, we use Rovi bags made with more than 70% recycled plastic.

For our office and shop furniture we chose Lufe, a furniture brand that works with rural communities linked to the timber sector.

Tres Glops is a special employment centre that offers job opportunities to people with disabilities. It supplies our water in reusable, Bisphenol-A-free PET bottles.

Our shop's electricity is supplied by Holaluz from renewable sources, certified by the Spanish National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC).

Our office electricity is supplied from renewable sources by U Energy, a Mallorca-based company. They also let us receive paper-free invoices and advise us on our consumption so that we can use less energy.
